Widnes mange a win over Batley despite the injuries currently involved with the Vikings, even though Scott Yates was injured in the second half and had to be lifted off the pitch; the Widnes side came away with a 32-24 win against the Bulldogs.
Tries from Shane Grady, James Ford and Chris Gerrard produced the scores for the away side, not forgetting Paddy Flynn two tries. With Shane Grady adding extras for the Vikings put the Widnes side to win the game.
Batley tries came from Sean Hesketh, Jason Walton, Alex Brown and Lee Greenwood, with the kicker for the side being Gareth Moore who converted two tries.
